Building Blocks, Inc.
She started a private practice that became Building Blocks, Inc. in Naples, FL in 1994. In 2021, she moved to the “City Beautiful”- Orlando, FL to pursue her dreams while enjoying the beauty of the many walking and biking trails the area has to offer.
In addition to treating children and growing a practice, Charlene has been actively involved in advocating for Medicaid recipients locally and statewide, as well as educating and empowering other Florida Medicaid providers about federal Medicaid law- including the EPSDT benefit. The Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment benefit is key to ensuring that children and adolescents receive appropriate preventive, dental, mental health, and developmental, and specialty services, including therapy services. Charlene was recognized for her advocacy work by both the Florida Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (FLASHA) and the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) in 2021.
Charlene is now accepting new clients in the Orlando area and is available for home visits.
